Service Provider to the Insurance Industry 2017

The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) named Gallagher Bassett (GB) as 2017 Service Provider to the Insurance Industry of the year.

Finalists were judged on how they support the insurance industry to be more effective in its day-to-day operations, innovations and significant changes introduced during 2016 and how these have benefited the insured and insurers.

Young Insurance Professional Employer of the Year 2017

GB New Zealand won the ANZIIF award for Young Insurance Professionals Employer of the Year 2017 at the New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards.

This award recognises organisations that demonstrated a commitment to the employment and development of young insurance and finance professionals.

Finalist for Outstanding Care and Service by a Team 2017

GB’s NSW Consultancy Team have been named as a finalist in icare’s 2017 Care and Service Excellence (CASE) awards in the category of ‘Outstanding care and service by a team’.

GB’s team provides providing guidance to individuals and their families to identify unique needs, tailor realistic goal plans, manage risk and implement actions to take control of identified outcomes.

ANZIIF named Gallagher Bassett New Zealand as a 2017 finalist for the Service Provider to the Insurance Industry award.

This award acknowledges our accomplishments in New Zealand insurance and the positive impact that our industry has on the community.

Top intern program for 2017

GB's internship program has been placed second in the Australian Association of Graduate Employers (AAGE) list of top intern programs for 2017.

The aim of the AAGE’s Top Intern Programs list is to recognise organisations that provide the most positive experience for their interns, as determined by interns themselves.

Youth Development Employer of the Year 2016

ANZIIF and Asia Insurance Review (AIR) have named GB as a finalist for Youth Development Employer of the Year at the 2016 Australian Insurance Industry Awards.

The judges said "GB recognises the importance of recruiting and nurturing young talent through internships, mentoring and career mapping".

Best Talent – Instructional Designer 2016

Cathy James, Learning and HR Solutions Coordinator, won gold at the 2016 LearnX Awards, the leading industry body that recognises the best and emerging talent across a variety of categories in learning.

The Best Talent – Instructional Designer award is given to a talented instructional designer who has created online training and/or online learning materials within a learning project and whose creative technical input has had a significant impact on employees' learning and development. The evaluation committee looked at a number of GB’s interactive staff training modules, including compliance with the General Insurance Code of practice, Injury Management, Records Management and Weekly Benefits.

Best Learning Project for Induction 2016

Cathy James was also recognised in the 2016 LearnX awards for Best Learning Project for Induction.

The Best Learning Project – Induction award is for a training project an organisation has implemented to effectively initiate new employees into the business. The evaluation committee examined GB’s induction program in terms of how it embedded our culture and values, transferred technical knowledge and skills and enhanced the job performance of participants.

Excellence in Injury & Disability Management (Remote Communities) 2016

GB’s Amanda Wallace won the 2016 Personal Injury Education Foundation (PIEF) Awards in the category of Remote Communities.

The Excellence in Injury & Disability Management (Remote Communities) award specifically acknowledges the outstanding contribution made by those who assist in supporting people with an injury or disability in a remote community.

Top intern program for 2016

GB came eighth place in the AAGE Top 25 Intern Programs list for 2016.

The result came from an anonymous survey completed by over 600 interns and includes feedback on induction and training, access to senior management and the organisation's culture and values.
