Peter White

Chief General Counsel

Peter provides the legal, governance and regulatory oversight to the corporate and operational functions of Gallagher Bassett enabling clients to be assured that the entity with which they deal, and the services they receive, comply with all legal and ethical obligations.

Peter was appointed as GB’s Chief General Counsel. He has 36 years’ experience in industrial, motor vehicle and general insurance litigation in private legal practice, including 18 years in WorkCover.

During his period of practice, Peter White acted for Employers in all types of matters – pre-litigated and litigated common law, compensation claims in all jurisdictions and recovery actions against negligent third parties.

Within GB, Peter has acted as corporate advisor, building the company’s governance structure and overseeing risk, audit and compliance functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors of Commerce and Laws

  • Reconstitution and embedding of a holistic assurance structure in GB.
