NTPS workers’ compensation claims management
GB has recently been appointed for the provision of NTPS workers’ compensation claims management.
The start-up is being led by GB’s experienced self insurance leadership team, including Executive Director Self Insurance, Stacey Williams, General Manager Self Insurance, Ben Sheat and Transition Manager, Emma Hosking.
GB is committed to engaging local Territory service providers as much as possible and will also consult with the Territory Government and Local Benefit Advisory Panel.
To ensure better injury prevention and support early, sustainable return to work outcomes, GB will provide a broad range of training and education programs to government agencies.
No changes are being made to defined compensation benefits payable to injured NTPS employees. The reforms are focused on placing greater focus on return to work opportunities for injured workers.
GB and the Territory will shortly be issuing communications regarding the date of commencement of services and the transition process. Until this occurs all claims related matters should continue to be referred to the current provider as normal.
